This film is about a place where the elephants do the landscaping,
but an animal millions of times smaller has an impact on the people
and wild animals out of all proportion to its size. The Mopane Veldt
of Southern Africa is home to a rich diversity of animals, a charming
people and it is the provider of one of the strangest harvests on
earth.
Mark Strickson is a director of Oxford Scientific Films and has
worked on many high profile productions for Broadcast Television.
Sean Morris is the founding director of Oxford Scientific Films.
He is a world renowned specialist wildlife cameraman, director and
producer. His credits include the award winning classics: Sexual
encounters Of The Floral Kind; Deathtrap; The Eagle; and The Snake;
Peak Performance (1995) is a series of six half hour programmes
for ITV looking at the world of sports using ultra-high-speed filming
and motion analysis. Seans Sonoran Desert won an International
Emmy for Individual Achievement and Cinematography (News and Documentary
Programming).
