Post Screening Discussion With Director
In May 2003, President Bush declared ‘Mission Accomplished in Iraq’. The war was over. America had won. In November 203, Bafta nominated film maker Sean Langan travelled to Iraq and discovered the real war had only just begun. ‘Mission Accomplished’ was shot over a three month period in Baghdad and the surrounding towns of Fallujha, Ramadi and Samara, in the so-called Sunni Triangle. This critically acclaimed film provides a unique insight into both sides of the conflict. Sean went undercover to get some of the first in-depth interviews with members of the Iraqi resistance.
