Beadie Finzi is a documentary filmmaker (Producer of ‘Unknown White Male’) and one of the founding Directors of Channel 4 British Documentary Film Foundation (www.britdoc.org). In this session, Beadie will explain how any documentary filmmaker living and working in the UK can apply for grants for their film through the Foundation and we will show clips from shorts through to feature docs that have been completed in the past eighteen months through the fund.
Beadie will also describe the workings of the BRITDOC Festival pitching forum (25-27th July 2007 at Keble College Oxford) and explain how British documentary filmmakers can have a unique opportunity to pitch for funding from a panel of international commissioning editors and foundation heads.
